Achievement Unlocked! We're so proud to announce another PS3 port this week. Happy People by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, Big Kenny of Big & Rich, has been released by Harmonix for players to download and play as add-on content for Rock Band 3 on the Playstation 3! Each month, a very small subset of the available Rock Band Network tracks is hand selected to be ported to the PS3 version of the game.

This great download joins the currently available Xbox 360 version of Happy People in raising money to help those in need. A portion of the artist's proceeds for each sale will be matched by Rock Band Relief and donated to the American Red Cross for worldwide disaster relief.

Today we're proud to announce a new artist supporting the American Red Cross with an amazing 2-song RBN track. Siblings, Brandon and Brittany Hargest, who spent their teen years recording and touring with pop group, Jump5, returned to the studio in 2010 to begin recording their first completely self-written and produced full-length album A Change of Scenery in their new band incarnation guest.

Brandon and Brittany have generously provided the first two songs from this stunning album for Rock Band Relief. The instrumental album opener, The Setting Sun and the album's title track, Change of Scenery blend seamlessly into one epic, 7-minute Rock Band track which has been nearly a year in the making.

But if you want to get hands on and join the community yourself, this new tutorial series called "Finding the Rhythm" is just for you! Over the coming weeks, RBN Authoring Lead, DJ Gryph, will be taking you through every aspect of the RBN 2.0 authoring process (including Keys/Pro Keys and Vocal Harmony authoring) step-by-step.

We're also using this series to document the process of bringing Heartstrings by award-winning singer/songwriter, Clara C, to our favorite game to raise money for the American Red Cross as part of the Rock Band Relief fundraising campaign.

Sometimes by Fundamental Elements has officially entered formal playtest. This is the seventh song in the Nashville Benefit Series and supports the new Rock Band 3 feature set including Pro Drums, Keys/Pro Keys and 3-part Vocal Harmonies.

As with all RBN songs, Sometimes will go through several weeks of rigorous testing and refinement with the help of the RBN authoring community, followed by an additional period of peer review, during which the song earns consensus from the other community members that it is fit for release to the Rock Band Network Store. At that point, it will be available for players to download and play as add-on content for Rock Band 3 on the Xbox 360, with a portion of the proceeds going to the American Red Cross to benefit their long-term flood recovery efforts Nashville, Tennessee.

The first artist contributing a track for the Japan Benefit Series is singer/songwriter, Clara C. We are so excited to be bringing Clara's beautiful song, Heartstrings, to the Rock Band Network for this great cause. While the young artist's friendly, DIY-style performance videos show off her live performance skills and charming approachability, her album, The Art in My Heart, is a polished work with gorgeous production value. With her breathtaking vocals, sometimes quirky instruments and lush, layered arrangements, multi-instrumentalist, Clara C, has built a loyal following of over 100,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel in little over a year.

Animal by Kink Ador officially enters formal Peer Review with the Rock Band Network today after a successful playtesting phase. As with all RBN songs, Animal will require a series of passing votes from other members of the RBN authoring community. This voting system helps ensure that the song is free of bugs and has been created in accordance with Harmonix authoring standards.

Once the song is determined to be fit for release, the Harmonix team will transfer it to the Rock Band Network Store. At that point, Animal will be available for players to download and play as add-on content for Rock Band 3 on the Xbox 360, with a portion of the download proceeds for this song will be donated to the American Red Cross to support their ongoing recovery effort following the 2010 flooding in Nashville, Tennessee.

Animal features a blistering guitar solo by Jimi Hendrix Experience alum and 11-year Kid Rock collaborator, Kenny Olson as well as a signature horn track playable on the new Rock Band 3 Pro Keyboard! (Updated gameplay preview coming soon.)
